How it works
Three blues start from the end line; two oranges press; two exit gates are set at the other end and a mini goal is used for the counter-attack.
The blues build with short passes or dribbling and go through a gate with the ball under control. If the oranges win the ball, they counter-attack towards the mini goal.
Variations and progressions
- Simplification: the defenders start 3 m further back.
- Progression: 8 s limit to play out.
- U9-U10: clear superiority and few rules.
- U11-U12: real pressure and change of pace.
- Main part, not a whole session.
Coaching tips
- Scan before receiving.
- Don't bunch up.
