Terms & conditions
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. Identification and purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Spooru technology platform, available at www.spooru.com and through the installable web app or equivalent features that Spooru may make available to its users.
Spooru is owned by:
- Marc Piera Secall
- Tax number (Steuernummer): 11 44 198 41243 57 2642
- Address: Froschau, 24, 74925 Epfenbach, Germany
- Email: info@spooru.com
Hereinafter, “Spooru”.
Spooru provides a technology platform designed to facilitate the management of sports clubs and their teams, including, among other features, the management of seasons, teams, categories, calendars, call-ups, statistics, internal communications and certain features related to fee collection.
These Terms govern the relationship between Spooru and the people who use the platform.
Where a specific feature is subject to particular conditions, those conditions will supplement these Terms and will prevail over these Terms with respect to the matters they specifically regulate.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
Access to and use of Spooru is subject to these Terms.
Where creating an account or contracting a service requires express acceptance, the user must accept the Terms before completing the relevant process.
By accepting these Terms, the user represents that they have read and understood them and that they have sufficient capacity to use them and, where applicable, to contract the services offered by Spooru.
Where the user acts on behalf of a club, sports entity or organisation, they represent that they have the necessary authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Spooru users
Spooru may be used by different types of users, including:
- club administrators;
- coaches and staff members;
- families;
- players, where the relevant feature allows it;
- other users authorised by a club.
The permissions and features available will depend on the type of account and the configuration set by the club.
The club is responsible for properly managing the permissions it grants to its users and for ensuring that they only have access to information relevant to their role.
4. Service for clubs
Spooru may offer clubs certain sports-management features free of charge.
Among others, these features may include:
- creating and managing seasons;
- creating and managing teams;
- managing categories;
- calendars;
- call-ups;
- match statistics;
- internal messaging;
- managing players and members;
- certain management and collection features.
Spooru may expand, modify or withdraw features of the service where necessary for technical, commercial, legal or product-development reasons.
Where a change substantially affects a contracted paid feature, the specific conditions and the rights that apply to the user under applicable law will govern.
4a. Paid plans for clubs (Creator and Creator+)
In addition to the features offered free of charge, Spooru offers clubs optional paid plans, “Creator” and “Creator+”. Depending on the plan, they include: creating the club's own exercises, sessions and plans; generating illustrations with artificial intelligence within a monthly allowance; the club's crest and name on PDF documents; and full access to Spooru's library.
Unless stated otherwise during the purchase process, the options and prices are as follows:
- Creator: €15 per month or €150 per year (100 illustrations per month).
- Creator+: €35 per month or €350 per year (250 illustrations per month).
- Pack of 100 loose illustrations: €12.
Prices include any taxes that are legally applicable, unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase. The prices in force are those shown immediately before the purchase is completed.
The plan is taken out by the club administrator on behalf of the club, which is the contracting party. The subscription renews automatically for equal periods (one month or one year, depending on the option chosen) until it is cancelled. Payment is made by card through Stripe.
The administrator can cancel the subscription at any time from the billing portal. Cancelling prevents further renewals and the plan remains active until the end of the period already paid. The amount of a period already paid is not refundable once the service has been provided, without prejudice to any mandatory rights under applicable law. Plan changes are prorated.
The illustration allowance renews every month (also on yearly subscriptions) and does not carry over. Packs do not expire with the month and are used once the monthly allowance runs out. Each illustration is counted when requested and returned if generation fails.
If payment fails or the subscription ends, the club loses the benefits of the plan: its own exercises are no longer visible or usable, but they are not deleted and become available again when a plan is taken out again; sessions already saved keep their content; and PDF documents show the Spooru brand again.
The club is responsible for the exercises, texts, images and crest it enters, and declares that it has the right to use them. It grants Spooru the licence needed to host them, translate them automatically and show them to the club's members. The club's own exercises are private to the club and Spooru does not add them to its library without the club's authorisation. Illustrations generated with artificial intelligence may be used freely by the club.
5. Installable web app and notifications
Spooru may allow the user to install the web app on their device using the installation features provided by their browser or operating system.
This installation does not necessarily involve downloading a native app from an app store.
Where the user enables notifications, they may receive alerts related to activity on the platform.
The user can disable notifications through their device, browser or account settings, where that option is available.
6. Advertising
The free service may be funded by advertising shown in certain areas intended for families.
Advertising will not be shown to club staff in areas where Spooru has expressly stated there is no advertising.
The availability, format and provider of advertising may change.
The use of cookies and similar technologies for advertising purposes is governed by the Cookie Policy and, where applicable, will be subject to obtaining the consent required by applicable regulations.
7. The “Ad-free” subscription
Spooru may offer families an optional subscription that allows them to use certain platform features without seeing advertising.
Unless otherwise stated during the contracting process, the subscription will be available in the following plans:
- Monthly: €1.99 per month.
- Per season: €17 per season.
The prices shown include any legally applicable taxes, unless expressly stated otherwise before contracting.
The economic terms in force will be those shown to the user immediately before completing the purchase.
Ad-free access is provided for the contracted period (one month or one season, depending on the plan chosen) and does not renew automatically: once that period ends, advertising will be shown again unless the user makes a new payment for the following period.
If the user makes a new payment before the current period ends, the new period is added on top of the one already running, with no days lost.
8. Ending ad-free access
Because it does not renew automatically, no cancellation procedure is needed: simply not making a new payment means that, once the contracted period ends, advertising will be shown again as normal.
The amount paid for a period already provided is not refundable once the service has been rendered for that period, without prejudice to any rights the consumer may have under applicable law.
9. Consumers' right of withdrawal
Where the subscription is contracted remotely by a consumer, the consumer may, where legally applicable, exercise the right of withdrawal within the period established by applicable regulations.
The right of withdrawal must be exercised by an unequivocal statement sent to Spooru or through any other mechanism made available for that purpose.
Where the user expressly requests that the service begin during the withdrawal period, the rules legally established for digital services and for services whose performance has begun before the end of that period will apply.
Where the law allows an exception to the right of withdrawal, the user will be informed of that exception before contracting.
Nothing in these Terms limits the non-waivable rights granted to consumers under applicable law.
10. Electronic contracting and payment obligation
Where the user contracts a paid subscription, Spooru will provide, before contracting, the legally required information about the service, price, duration, renewal, payment method and other applicable conditions.
Before completing the order, the user must be able to review and correct the information entered.
Where contracting involves a payment obligation, the user must expressly confirm that obligation through a clearly identifiable mechanism.
The contract will be formed once the user completes the established procedure and Spooru confirms the purchase.
Spooru may send the user confirmation of the purchase on a durable medium, including the applicable conditions.
The contractual conditions may be retained and reproduced by the user.
11. Payment for club fees and products
Some clubs may use Spooru to manage the collection of fees, registrations, activities, products or other items specific to the club.
In these cases, the club is responsible for the contractual relationship relating to the item being charged, including, where applicable:
- setting the price;
- describing the item;
- the terms of the purchase;
- issuing invoices or receipts;
- applying taxes;
- refunds;
- complaints relating to the item charged.
Spooru only provides the technology infrastructure that allows the club to manage certain payments, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Purchasing a fee, product or activity from a club does not, by itself, constitute a purchase of that product or activity from Spooru.
12. Card payments
Where a club allows payment by card, the payment may be processed through Stripe or another payment provider integrated into Spooru.
Full card data is processed by the payment provider in accordance with its own terms and policies.
Spooru does not store the full card number where payment is processed directly by the relevant provider.
Where the charge is processed through Spooru's payment gateway, the amount paid by the family or user will be reduced, successively, by:
- the payment provider's (Stripe) fees, which as of the date of these Terms are, for standard European cards, 1.5% + €0.25 per transaction (different rates may apply to premium cards or cards issued outside the European Economic Area, in accordance with Stripe's current public pricing, available at stripe.com/pricing); and
- Spooru's own service fee on the amount charged, which as of the date of these Terms is 1%.
The club will receive the amount resulting from applying both deductions to the amount charged. The payment provider's fees are outside Spooru's control and may vary according to the terms it sets; any change to the percentage of Spooru's own fee will be governed by the "Changes to these Terms" section.
Spooru will settle outstanding amounts on a weekly basis, except where a justified cause delays payment.
Any questions relating to a specific transaction should first be directed to the club, where the transaction relates to a fee, product or service marketed by the club.
13. SEPA direct debits
Where a club allows payment by direct debit, the mandate and the management of the collection will be the responsibility of the club and the entities or providers it uses to process it.
Spooru may provide the technical features necessary to record, manage or check the status of certain transactions.
The club is responsible for having the necessary authorisation to set up the direct debit and for complying with the obligations that apply to it under applicable regulations.
14. User accounts
The user must provide truthful, accurate and up-to-date information whenever necessary to create or use an account.
The user is responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for activity carried out from their account, unless they can show that such activity resulted from unauthorised access not attributable to them.
The user must notify Spooru of any suspected loss, theft or unauthorised use of their credentials.
Spooru may implement additional authentication mechanisms where necessary to protect the platform.
15. Management of players by clubs
Clubs may use Spooru to manage information relating to their players and members.
The club is responsible for:
- providing accurate information;
- keeping the information it enters up to date;
- properly managing access permissions;
- having the legal basis necessary to add the data to the platform;
- complying with the information and data-protection obligations that apply to it.
Where players are minors, the club must comply with applicable legal obligations and obtain any consents necessary based on the purpose and legal basis of the processing.
Spooru must not be used to enter medical information, diagnoses, clinical histories or other particularly sensitive data that is not necessary for the specific purpose for which a feature has been enabled.
16. Acceptable use
The user undertakes to use Spooru lawfully, responsibly and in accordance with these Terms.
It is prohibited to:
- use the platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
- impersonate another person or entity;
- access accounts or information without authorisation;
- attempt to circumvent security mechanisms;
- introduce viruses, malicious code or mechanisms intended to harm the platform;
- reverse-engineer the platform where prohibited by applicable law;
- systematically copy, extract or exploit Spooru's content or features without authorisation;
- use automated systems to extract data from the platform without authorisation;
- use the messaging feature for purposes unrelated to the club's legitimate activity;
- send abusive, threatening, discriminatory or unlawful communications, or communications that infringe the rights of third parties;
- submit content that infringes intellectual property rights, privacy, honour, image or any other right of third parties.
17. Content submitted by users
Users and clubs retain the rights that apply to them over the content they submit to Spooru.
Any user who submits content represents that they have the rights, permissions or legal basis necessary to do so.
The user grants Spooru, for as long as necessary to provide the service and only to the extent strictly necessary, the technical usage rights needed to host, store, reproduce, process and display such content within the platform.
This authorisation does not allow Spooru to use such content for purposes unrelated to providing the service, unless there is an independent legal basis or a valid authorisation to do so.
18. Messaging and unlawful content
Spooru provides internal communication tools to facilitate clubs' activity.
Users are responsible for the messages and content they post or transmit.
Spooru may take action regarding content that infringes these Terms or applicable law, including removing or blocking it where appropriate.
Where a specific procedure exists for reporting unlawful content, users may use it via info@spooru.com or the contact form.
Any measures taken will be reasonable and proportionate, taking into account the nature of the infringement, the rights of the affected individuals and applicable legal obligations.
19. Intellectual and industrial property
All rights over Spooru, including its software, code, architecture, design, interface, features, text, trademarks, logos, graphic elements and other elements developed by Spooru, belong to Spooru or their respective owners.
Use of the platform does not grant the user any ownership rights over those elements.
Reproduction, distribution, transformation, decompilation, extraction or exploitation of the platform is prohibited beyond the limits permitted by applicable law or expressly authorised by Spooru.
20. Availability of the service
Spooru will make reasonable efforts to keep the platform available and functioning properly.
However, there is no guarantee that the service will:
- be available uninterrupted;
- be error-free;
- be compatible with all devices or browsers;
- remain unmodified;
- be free from incidents caused by third parties.
The service may be temporarily interrupted due to maintenance, updates, technical incidents, infrastructure problems, cyberattacks, provider failures, force majeure events or other circumstances beyond Spooru's reasonable control.
Where reasonably possible, Spooru will try to give notice of significant scheduled interruptions.
21. Changes to features
Spooru may modify, update or replace platform features for technical, legal, security, commercial or product-development reasons.
Where a change substantially alters a paid service during a contracted period, the rights that apply to the user under applicable law and the specific conditions of the service will be respected.
22. Suspension and cancellation of accounts
Spooru may temporarily suspend or cancel an account where necessary to:
- protect the security of the platform;
- prevent unauthorised access;
- prevent fraud;
- investigate unlawful activity;
- address a serious breach of these Terms;
- comply with a legal obligation or requirement from a competent authority.
Where reasonably possible, and provided there is no security, fraud or legal-compliance risk preventing it, Spooru will notify the user in advance and allow them to remedy the breach.
In urgent cases, Spooru may take the measure immediately and communicate its reasons afterwards.
23. Consequences of cancellation
Where an account is cancelled or the contractual relationship ends, access to certain features may no longer be available.
Personal data will be processed and deleted or retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy, the club's instructions where Spooru acts as processor, and applicable legal obligations.
Where applicable, clubs may request the export of their data in the formats and under the conditions available on the platform.
24. Liability
Spooru will be liable for damages that are legally attributable to it under applicable law.
Spooru will not be liable for damages arising from:
- incorrect information entered by users or clubs;
- use of the platform in breach of these Terms;
- loss of credentials attributable to the user;
- content submitted by third parties;
- failures of third-party services;
- outages affecting Internet, hosting, communications or payment providers;
- force majeure events;
- use of incompatible devices, browsers or systems.
These limitations will not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
In particular, nothing in these Terms limits the rights granted to consumers under mandatory rules.
25. Third-party services
Spooru may integrate third-party services, including hosting, communications, payment, analytics or advertising providers.
These services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
The availability of a feature that depends on a third party may be conditional on the availability of that third party's service.
26. Data protection
The processing of personal data is governed by Spooru's Privacy Policy.
Where Spooru processes data on behalf of a club, the obligations of each party will be determined under the applicable Data Processing Agreement and applicable regulations.
The user can find further information on the processing carried out in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
27. Changes to these Terms
Spooru may amend these Terms to reflect:
- legislative changes;
- changes to the services;
- the addition or removal of features;
- technological changes;
- security measures;
- organisational or business changes.
Amendments will be published on this page.
Where an amendment is significant for the user's rights or obligations, Spooru will try to communicate it with reasonable notice through the means available.
Where applicable regulations require renewed acceptance, this will be requested before the user continues using the affected service.
28. Electronic communications
The user agrees to receive by electronic means the communications necessary to manage their account and provide the service.
These communications may include:
- account confirmations;
- account recovery;
- security notices;
- significant changes to the service;
- communications related to payments;
- call-ups and club notices;
- communications necessary to perform the contractual relationship.
Marketing communications will be subject to the rules and consents required under applicable regulations.
29. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Spanish law.
Where the user acts as a consumer, the applicable mandatory consumer-protection rules will apply.
For relationships between Spooru and users acting within their business or professional activity, the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Barcelona will have jurisdiction, with express waiver of any other forum that might otherwise apply.
30. Dispute resolution
In the event of a dispute, the parties will try to resolve it amicably before going to court.
The user may contact Spooru at:
The above does not limit the consumer's right to use the dispute-resolution mechanisms available to them under applicable law.
