How it works
Three blues form a triangle and an orange walks in the centre, unable to win the ball during the first series.
The blues make short passes avoiding the passive defender's line. The defender only covers one direction, walking; rotate the role every series.
Variations and progressions
- Level 1: passive defender who only intercepts very close paths.
- Level 2: active defender at low intensity.
- U5-U6: the defender is the coach and only points.
- U7-U10: walking defender.
- U11+: defender at low intensity.
Coaching tips
- Look before receiving.
- Body side-on.
- Safe pass.
- Keep two options.
